How can acupuncture help?

Acupuncture helps the body heal itself. It is supportive and integrative. Stress and trauma symptoms are stabilized and alleviated, creating a sense of well-being. The focus of treatment is on the constitutional state of the person; balancing body, mind and spirit. This service is not intended to replace medical treatment, prescribed medication, or therapy but to complement it and support you throughout your healing process.

How many treatments will I need?

That depends of the duration and severity of your concern. But here, we are focused primarily on relaxation and stress management.

Does it hurt?

Acupuncture needles are not much thicker than a strand of hair and their insertion is practically painless. In some cases, you will not even know that the needles are in place. If one is sensitive, there may be mild discomfort but brief and should subside quickly. Most people are pleasantly surprised by how relaxing it is and many fall asleep during treatment.

Is it safe?

When performed by a competently trained, licensed acupuncturist, acupuncture is extremely safe. Only packaged, sterile, disposable one-time use needles are used.
