Our spas story of wellness began long before our opening in 2010.

April, our founder is from the rural area of Brentwood, Ca where her family farmed and raised goats, horses, camels and ostrich. They later moved to Napa, Ca to become Vintners and founded Mt Veeder Bee Sanctuary. April is a third generation apothecarist who also excelled in sciences since childhood. Her late Great grandfather was a 104 year old physicist who worked alongside Albert Einstein at Lawrence Labs in Berkeley, Ca. He taught her chemical composition and natural cures for ailments. For a time she lived with her grandmother who enriched her appreciation for herbology. In high school she became a home health aide after completing the certified nursing assistant program. She always had a desire to treat and help others while creating clean and comfortable spaces. After graduating high school with honors she began the prerequisites for the Registered Nursing Program. While on the waiting list she was offered a scholarship to become a massage therapist, and did part of the nutrition program at Merritt College in Oakland, Ca.

April is now a Registered Nurse who has worked at several different spas in Napa and the surrounding Bay area. She brings a unique approach to the art of wellness based on science. Her hobbies include refinishing furniture, gardening and apothecary. She bottles and labels all of our products that are made in a lab. She makes artisan luxury body scrubs, body butter, soaps, perfumes, bath salts & bombs, hair sprays and serums. The spa and treatment menu are designed to indulge the senses. Inspired by the regions history, one of our main ingredients is grape seed. April trains all of the staff, decorates the spa and you can even catch her doing spa treatments. She is well versed in anatomy, physiology, swedish, deep tissue, sports, reflexology, prenatal and hospice massage therapy.
